Your ‘day to day’: As an Intern you will be part of our MDC Department for Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.A. and will be reporting to Sr Product & Process Improvement Lead. The position will be based in Bologna (Zola Predosa). In your role, you will join the Product Engineering team supporting in develop feasibility studies and design of experiment. You will define availability of material/human/machine resources needed to perform experimental activities. You will also monitor test outcomes and analyze process data and apply PDCA methodology and statistical tools. Specific Responsibilities: • Define, organize and co-ordinate test plan execution and on-floor testing activities • Monitor test activities and outcomes and analyse process data • Propose countermeasures and support the improvement initiatives using project management as well as lean manufacturing principles • Participate to periodical project status review, costs tracking and results reporting, ensuring the correct project management Who we’re looking for: • Masters’ degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Material Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other related scientific disciplines • Scientific mindset with good analytical skills • Fluent in both Italian and English • Good level of verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment with multiple priorities and drive results. • Good knowledge of Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and knowledge of statistical tools and programs (e.g. Minitab) What we offer: Type of contract: Internship of 6 months length Work location: Zola Predosa Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
