Innovation | Integrity | Excellent execution | Collaboration | Responsibility THE OPPORTINITY • During your internship in our Center Of Excellence - Flavors you will have the opportunity to participate, learn and observe in product & process improvement projects in Philip Morris’ flavor processing center. The factory produces different types of flavors with diverse attributes. You will be able to use analytical skills and various tools to develop your problem solving and build your capability with real life problems. • The Center of Excellence team – is a bridge between product function in Switzerland and flavor processing in Netherlands. This team is equipped with wide expertise and diverse projects which you can be a key part of. • On floor tests for product comparisons and behaviors will need to be conducted to increase performance efficiencies and reduce downtimes. • You can bring a fresh perspective and innovation to help us on our journey of continuous improvement. • You are required to promote and apply all rules concerning PMI Quality, environment, health, and safety. Report situations requiring actions to minimize or eliminate risks exposure to personnel, company assets and societal impacts and be in line with or ahead of any applicable Law requirements and Company standards. • Conduct different studies on the production floor to gather data that can drive decisions. • To identify key observations during the processes and to address the gaps interacting with the appropriate figures in the manufacturing organization to ensure the solution is addressed. • To execute on floor tests, studies, projects of CoE flavors according to the design of experiments and contributing improving product and process by capability building. • To work together with the technical staff within the area to fill the identified skills gap and develop the adequate technical expertise. • Support innovation projects and the development of concepts for product and process enhancements, technical alternatives by conducting studies according to the design of experiment. • Analyze trends in terms of relation between batch control parameters and machine performance to evaluate improvement opportunities. • Summarize data/report to transfer the knowledge to peers.
